COVID-era leadership
Issued an emergency mask order after the first coronavirus case in nearby Kake, covering the ferry terminal and seaplane base; worked with CARES Act supplies and community sewing for masks.

Water crisis response
Helped coordinate during water main and pump failures, requested a DEC boil-water notice, and worked with partners when the Coast Guard cutter Hickory delivered about 7,000 bottles of water — including door-to-door distribution with Angoon Community Association.
Protect Admiralty / oppose annexation
Spoke to the Juneau Empire about elders protecting Admiralty Island land and a city resolution opposing City and Borough of Juneau annexation plans, including a Capitol protest.
